I sit here on a sandy shore. The lights from the city are much dimmer here. And what's this? I could see a few stars twinkling i the night sky. Night was fully upon us now... But that was fine. Besides, I was out for a nightly stroll, if you would think of it like that. But there was more to getting away from the Hobo Corner than some might know that are just now, for the first time, watching my blue merle pelt that moved gently in a passing breeze. I had something on my mind... Not just something, but someone to be exact. I'd met one handsome male in the Hobo corner, as well as an interesting female. I wanted to meet the female later though... I only knew her as the eager female currently, but I'd make sure to catch up with her later. But for now, I was, in a way, hoping I might see that dazzlingly handsome black and white fur of Mullian's.... Don't know what's got me hung up on him, but I'm hung on him, that's for sure. I sit here, and I wait, ears waiting to hear him approaching, nose ready to detect the scent I'd memoized and pinned to his features. I then lay down, head on paws, just watching the moonlight and sity lights dancing upon the broken, gently rippling surface of the water before me. I sigh, wondering if he might have even taken me seriously. And what if he had a mate already? And what if he didn't want to see if I could be worth more than taken for??? Well, I guess I'll find out, depending on if he even comes. I'd dropped the hint, told him where to find me. And why am I worrying? i'd only just arrived 10 minuts ago... So, willing mseyfl to try and jsut think of the water and the moon shining brightly as possible through the sity lights, I lay there.....

Mullian slinked along the streets of the city, his long pink tongue lolling out and his eyes bright with curiosity. He liked the vixen, and it appeared she liked him, too. Why else would she invite him to follow her to a beach? He saw Nakita, waiting on the sand. Mullian decided not to sneak up on her. That would probably give her a scar for life, or he might get killed by a woman's scorn or whatever that poem said. The border collie trotted to sit next to the vixen, and dropped a dead fish at her feet. He had just stolen it, and decided there was no use in getting fat and lazy, stealing off the humans all the time. He would end up getting caught, and finally, Mullian decided to share the fish with the pretty girl. "Hey... the moon is bright tonight," he observed, longing to howl.

It wasn't logn before the feeling of someone approaching came to be heard. I smiled as I recongnized the scent. It was Mullian. I lift my heard from my paws, and then a fish lands at my feet. I loook up, glacier blue eues sparkling in the moonlight like the very watery surface of the water before them that gently pounde a few feet away from the place on which they were upon. Finally liftinf my chest from the sand, taking on a sitting position, I thought the fish could wait. Sure, the meal I had had not long ago really wasn't all that satisfying, but my stomache was a little uneasy at the moment, being so close to the male who caught my interest so quickly, and had a steadfast grip on it. I liked him, yes. Butn what I found odd about my interest in him was that I was willing to slaughter just for him. How bewildering. I've never really quite felt like this with anyone really... A first time, and it was a weird feeling. But I supressed it all, remaining calm and tranquil. I listen to his voice and give him a dog's smile, tongue lolling out for but a breif moment. " Yes... When you're away from all the city lights, it's a whole lot brighter...." I the silence then lingered before I felt a need to break it. I look to the fish, then back and Mullian. " You want your share first?" what else was there to say? she didn't want to rush anything, but cherish the moment. And heck, if he had a territory, maybe she would ask about that, but after they ate? Before the thing went bad? Sitting there, I waited, just wondering, thinking, all about what this feeling was, adn why with Mullian.....

Mullian did not like city lights, or cities for that matter. He was born on a farm, raised to be a sheep, cow and horse herder. Mauling was his way of a response to a threat. Of course, like any countryman, Mullian had impeccable manners. He always stood up to go and sniff noses with someone who had just entered the meeting area, and allowed females to take the first bite when having a meal. And now it seemed Nakita wanted to do so for him. He grinned widely at her, and placed one paw on the fish's head. He then place another paw on it's neck, and drew it down quickly, cutting it in half with his steel claws (long story there). Mullian picked up one half of the fish and put it back down next to himself. His spare paw at the same time pushed the other half towards the vixen. "Thanks." Not much, but Mullian didn't really speak that much anyway.

Exactly who in their right minds besides the stupid humans liked all those bright lights? They blocked out nature. It was the way humans liked things, ead and cold and empty, except for the exception of their foolish pet slaves and themselves? They'd kill all the strays if they could. but something tells me that's something that's pbably never gonna happen. Nature takes its course, and strays will always create a new generation that will hate the human race with a passion.... When I thought of pups, i thought of Mullian. Odd, isn't it? but I pushed the thought and the images to the back of my brain. Not now. I didn't even know if he liked me like that. Despite the fact that I knew I liked him, a relationship wouldn't work out if it was only a one way relationship... Manners? Sure, I had them, but yoy didn't make ends meet if you always let others stealfrom you, did you? you'd waste away in the end. But if you were in the right pack, things went smoothly. but alas, I had no pack, or territory. I was a true blue stray. But perhaps that would all come to an end in the next few days? Guess I'll need to find out. It was times like this I wished I was able to see into the near future. But oh well. Life's full of suprises and andevtures. I didn't mind that at all. Ears twitch as Mullian moves and metal(?!) claws slice the fish so neatly. I tilt my head to the side ever so slightly, but said little. When he spoke his single word, I did the same. " Think little of it" It might sound rude, but I was a bit nervous. I wanted to make a good impression. I bent my teeth to the fish adn tore into ravenously. you never know which meal will be your last... When I was finished, I lick my muzzle, and turn glacier blue eyes to Mullian. " You have a territory?" I was running out of things to say that wouldn't be all that touchy.... And soon, who knows, maybe I'll accidentally slip up and tell him how I feel... Lets hope that doesn't happen, it could get pretty ugly if he took it the wrong way....

A new generation of sheepdogs would be interesting. I remember a movie the humans had once watched, and Mullian had watched it with them, invisible behind their couch. It was called the Breed. The movie was about dogs who had been experiments, but escaped and took over an island. Mullian liked that idea. A super-dog race? With his own blood? Awesome! He came out of his stupor when the vixen began to speak again, and listened intently. Not only were her words interesting, but they attracted him like flies to a venus fly trap. Not exactly comforting, but true. He flashed his teeth in a grin at her nervous statement, and tore into his own piece of fish. Tasted good and fresh! :E Mullian flicked his ears at her next words, and licked his chops, savouring the taste. He did know exactly what she meant, what she was talking about, but decided to let her spit it out first. "Yeah, I do. Recently claimed. It's that big crashed plane, just outside the city."

It would indeed be very interesting, wuldn't it? I didn't have any problems with having a litter of pups with Mullian... And to think that he might have a gene that might make them great, with a bit of added intellegence from my side? A shame there's no island, though. It seemed close to reality, but then again, what about the humans? No doubt the pups would need to stay corraled until they were grown. Humans were stupid, and they didn't know that if they ever did come across pups, it was best to leave them alone, but they didn't. They'd go all goo-goo eyed and pick the pup up and take it away. so they couldn't blame us entirely. We are only protecting what is rightfully our's, no? I watched him, my glacier blue eyes glistening as the moonlight reflected upon them as they did the water. He seemed to be interested in her words... And perhaps it all started with interest? I hoped so. I felt my heart flutter when he spoke, ears perked forward and were eager to here. I wanted to move closer, but he hadn't really shown me he did feel attracted to me in that manner. And that was what I had been itching for, but as usual, I was keeping myself calm and collected. When he spoke of the plane, an image of a memory flashes within my mind. I remembered the day that plane crashed. It had been about two years, right? I was old enough to remember, and I did. but I never thought anyone, not even a stray would go there... Imagine the adventure that might be there! This made me feel a bit gittery, but I kept myself from wiggling around with excitement. When he finished speaking, my words greeted his passed words eagerly. " Oh? Well.... Um, have any pack members?" I had wanted to as if he had a mate, but I would wait... What if it wasn't the right time? what if it was only an illusion that he might even be just slightly attracted to me? So, I had tweaked it, and asked another harmless question. But I knew the sparkle of attraction toward Mullian would surely show if he really wanted to know how I felt...

He certainly hated the humans, and wouldn't hesitate to maul a grown man to death if one picked up a puppy of his. But it would probably be more difficult to attack a cub of the human's. They were easy to kill, which made it feel wrong. But then again, with steel teeth and claws, pretty much everything was easy for him to kill. His own green and blue eyes watched her, noticing how the moonlight shone off her enterwined-coloured coat. Her eyes were the colour of snow and ice, and her face was fascinatingly dappled, which made her look like she was wearing a mask. He couldn't help but edge closer to her then. Not exactly a romantic guy, but when attraction hit him, he couldn't resist it! A few bubbles slowly rose to the surface of the water, showing that a few fish were taking advantage of the silent night. Mullian slowly turned to watch them coolly, and answered after a few moments of silence. "None yet. You are the first lady I have met properly in this city," he said quietly, a hint of apprehension in his voice.

She watched him with a steady gaze. There was something about him that just made her shiver, that made her want to do things she might never think of doing before. Like going on some nearly impossible journey to the ends of the earth and back, just to show him she could be worth his while, to show him she was a devoted female that wouldn’t leave him, or a family… That is, if one was ever started. Nakita could only hope this might one day happen. But she found herself longing for Mullian to be the one she had her family with. She didn’t care he was a pack leader, or a territory owner. No, he could be the lowest on the food chain, but the odd thing was that she had never felt this way before about another male. And yet, her she was, falling nearly head over paws for the handsome male. She could hardly find the words to say to him. She found this conversation getting harder and harder to continue. Her tongue was tied, it seemed…. Her gaze soon met his as he turned his eyes to hers. She was stunned, she felt as though she were under a trance. But she smiled, felt her cheeks grow hot, and tear her eyes away from his. He seemed to be staring right into her… She then turned her eyes back to his, but slowly, savoring the moment as their eyes met once more. His mismatched eyes were dazzling, piercing… And yet, she was attracted to his eyes…. She was attracted to the whole of him. And then, she soon realized something…. He was sitting a bit closer to her! She felt herself match the amount of space he’d moved, early bringing their paws to touch. She looked down to her paws bashfully. She heard his words, and she heard his apprehension, and smiled sweetly. “ Really? Well, I do find that hard to believe you know… I’ve never known such a handsome, kind male before….. I… Maybe I could, come and stay with you…?” Finally, the feelings, the words she’d been hiding for so long, felt like they were crush her lungs as well as well as her heart. She sighed and knew she might as well relieve some of the weight, by perhaps dropping a hint about her feelings? “ And I hope you can see I’m not your average female…. I’ll go to the ends of the earth and back…. Just for you….” She felt the weight lift, but not as much as she was hoping. Instead, a bit of anxiety had been added. What if she was going too fast? What if he didn’t feel the same way. But wasn’t the move he made… Wasn’t the gaze in his eyes all the clue in the world that he did feel the same way??? She only hoped so….

Mullian was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, but only because her back leg was jabbing into his stomach. He climbed to his feet and walked a few steps in front of Nakita, then rolled over and looked at her inquisitively, upside-down. He actually looked pretty funny, and let his tongue hang out one side of his mouth to add to the effect. She looked enormously uncomfortable, and Mullian began to worry if she thought he was being a bit forward. After all, it wasn't like he had met and flirted with any girls before, and now a dazzlingly beautiful one pops up and he starts stammering! His ears flicked hopefully as she spoke, and Mullian became very interested in the fact that she had no pack. And better yet, she wanted to come with him! With a startlingly loud yip, Mullian jumped to his feet and ran straight into the water. The border collie leaped into the air, and dove into the darker depths of the lake. He was underwater for quite a long time, because his lungs were designed to be tough. A few minutes passed, and suddenly, a fresh fish came flying out of the lake. It was joined by another. Mullian decided to come out then, and bounded back to hear her last words. If anything, this made him more happy. The border collie bounded to collect the fish, and came back to her, two big trout flopping comically around in his mouth. He spat the fish onto the ground in front of her, and flashed his teeth in a very happy smile. "Nakita, you can definitely come with me! I would climb to the highest skyscraper, and catch a whale to have you with me!"

It was nice, to feel this close to someoen. And to actually be this close to someone. She shifted herself, feeling her leg forcing itself into his gut. She wanted to show him she cared, and cared more than a friend would. She wanted more than just friendship, she itched to say she loved him, but she held it all in. She didn't want him to think she was moving too fast. She felt the right time has passed, and she was cofident she was in love. But force this upon him, when he might not feel the same way? it would be a very embarassing moment for Nakita, so she simply kept it to herself, despite the fact she felt as though she would explode into a head-long confession. But she would worry about that later. She smiled and laughed lightly as Mullian rolled onto his back, her tail wagging contentedly. he was jsut so great! She couldn't hel[ but love him, this she knew! And she was suprised no one else was attracted to him! How odd! But this was the perfect oppertunity for her, to be honest! he hadn't been forward, it was just all the desires to confess her feelings was still heavy, despite having let a little bit out without overwhelming Mullian with all that really did rest upon he shoulders. it bothered her that she was trying to hold back all the words and feelings she wanted to let out, but she didn't want to drive him away, so she would wait for the first sign he wanted her as a mate. When he yipped, he had caught her off guard and she jumped back a little with suprise. She watched as he ran and leapt into the water, and when he didn't surface for a while she was a bit worried, but it was soon that he surface and with two trout in his mouth. She grinned and move forward a bit as he did, closing the distance fast. She saw his smile and heard his words. She felt flattered and flustered, but could only grin back and nuzzled his neck fur, dropping yet another hint, an releasing abit more tension she held within herself. She then playfully nipped his shoulder and bounded away a few feet. " Lets go, then! I can't wait to see the territory!"
