I lay in the shade behind a dumpster at the market place. My chest rises and falls heavily, marking the gesture of a sigh. At my paws, a trout. Yup. I've done it again. but how else am I gonna get by if I don't steal a little bit of food? I need something to keep me going, don't I? And there isn 't exactly any other way, not like people are just going to hand out dog food, right? Even if they did decide 'Heck, I'll give this mangy mutt some food', I wouldn't even take it until they left. Humans aren't to be trusted..... I've already learned that, and I don't plan on gettng another lesson. I could end up in 'The Place' if I wasn't careful enough, but I am, so there! I bend my head down to the troutand begin to tear into the flesh ravenously. It's been three days since I ate, you know. I hunch over the food, keepying a listen for anyone or anything that might think they can just sneka up on me while I'm eating. It doesn't take me long before I finish eating, leaving the bones for anything that might be intersted in it. But I've made sure I've gotten every morsel of meat of of the bones, so what else beside some stupid feline would be interested? I get to my paws, and stretch. My blue merle fur a dirty and matted. I haven't had any grooming since I was a pup, and I don't intend on letting some dumb two-legged touch me, anyhow. I take up a trot and head for behind a dark and secluded alleyway. I had a large box there that wasn't good enough to be called a den, but oh well. Beggars can't be choosers. So with my hunger quieted, I head for my decent place to rest, out of any human's desires to come treading down an alley where some murderer or rabid dog of their crazed minds might leap out and do only they know what to their precious, yet worthless flesh. I turn a corner and into the alley, un-noticed as usual. But I like it that way.

Its a sick day. Clear, beautiful, biried chirping in their trees; disgusting. Theres nothing acid loaths more then gentle happy things such as this, things disney movies were made of. Giving children false hope of a bright future is such a sinful thing, innit? Oh gee if we kill the bad guy then everything will be fine and jimmies head will magicly sew itself back onto his severed neck! Oh happy happy joy joy! The tiger striped canine snorts in disgust, his long black nails clicking on the unforginve cement as he walks through the streets. Slinking more like, sticking to the shadows like some sort of crippled cat, his coyote like body lean with a hunger sarved belly that displays nearly all of his ribs in scary detail. No fat on his body. Only a bone and a thin veil of muscle from life living in the wild. Ears tattered to bits from fighting other males. His body fully grown an large enough to give even a pitt bull pause for thought before scrapping with him. His fur is far from pretty and silky. Flea bitted in its coarse and weather resistant ness it is a sad sight indeed, someplaces even lack fur completly. One tooth sticks up out of his lip as he struts along in a careless manner, his vile mood reining over his common sense. Suddenly his instincts pull him to a stop just short of running head first into another dog. Fur bristels and an involuntary growl leaves his teeth. 'Watch where yer gowin!' He snarels at the other dog of similar working heritage.

Rala shook her head and gave a playful bound as she trotted through the streets. She was free! Free to do whatever she wanted! No-one could stop her, not now, not ever! She wasn't gonna be some omega female either, and she was intelligent and quick and very, very good at hunting and scouting. Ah, scouting. Her true skill. She could search anywhere, for anything, due to her breeding. Okay, so she was a purebreed, but surely there would be other purebreeds? Not just mutts and lurchers and the like? She stopped, one leg lifted from the ground. Smelled the air cautiously. The scent of humans was strong, but also of food. Meat. Sustenance. Starting forwards again, her nostrils quivered and she let out a small whine. She had not eaten in a day or so, and her stomach was beginning to growl ominously. Seeing various other dogs running through the marketplace, she began to sink low to the ground, hackles pronounced as she crept through the shadows. She could smell various meats and foods - fish, duck, pork, lamb... Raising her head, she looked about. There! Her sharp eyes focused on a joint of cooked beef hanging up from a stall. The owner was nowhere to be seen; Rala could hardly believe her luck. Darting forwards, she leapt for the beef, clutching it in her mouth and tearing it down from the awning. Hearing a yell after her, she had no time to stop and make sure she was gripping the food properly. Sprinting as fast as she could, she cursed her breed for not being fast. yes, they had uncommon good senses, but they were not good for anything fast. They could trot for miles, but ohhh no, they couldn't run, could they? Darting through the crowd, she found a solitary corner - the humans had stopped chasing her. Dropping her catch, she lay down next to it and began to eat. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Scanning the marketplace, she saw another female eating a fish, and a male snarling at another dog. Chewing her mouthful thoughtfully, she tore off another chunk of flesh as she watched the scene. She was being silent, but she would attract attention quickly, with a large hunk of meat lying in front of her. She was ready to fight for it, but even so, she swallowed hastily and began anothe mouthful, eating as quickly as she could. She had never had to eat quickly before, or have fear of her meal being stolen, but she wasn't happy there. Boredom had set in within weeks, and she had spent 2 years in that place... Only Bones, the neighboring stud dog, was any fun, and that hadn't lasted long, handsome as he was. As she looked down at her meal, she sighed as she realised she had only scratched the surface of the huge meal in front of her. Eyes bigger than her stomach... But she still wasn't sharing. Her evry instinct was telling her to eat all she could now, they bury it. And that was her plan. Eating some more meat quickly, she had eyes on her food now, her ears listening for any threats. But the meat was good - seasoned and cooked and moist. Much better than that dog food...

The large male kept his head low and his tail even lower as he moved through the crowded streets, every inch of his being was telling him to run but his hunger drove him on. His last meal was about three days ago when some cat decided to piss him off, bye bye kitty. He smelled beef but left the female alone, trotting over to where he saw a turkey just hanging there out in the open with the stupid two-legged worring about the wrong side of his table. He stalked closer before grabbing the whole turkey in his large powerful jaws, he took off before the man even realised he'd taken the biggest d*m turkey he had. Slowing to a jog, he lifted his head and tail and walked over to where he saw that female. He dropped his turkey near her, he looked at her with his cold crimson eyes before starting to rip into his catch. Bones broken under the pressure of his paw on the bird and his teeth that snapped the bones like twigs, he paused before looking at the vixen." What's your name?" He said in a harsh but bored tone, he stared at her every once in awhile. Soon the turkey was nothing but a few bones, he sat and stared at the fae before saying " Since I've asked you your name I'll give you my own, I'm Itachi. But thats all you get." He said as he flashed his teeth at her in a aggressive manner, he was use to two-leggeds and their food but it seemed the fae wasn't. No matter she would learn to love it along with whatever food was caught, even if it was cat. Speaking of cat here comes one now, but it wasn't pissing him off yet and he was full from the turkey he had stolen from that idiot. Looking at the fae and sighed in a bored manner before shaking his thick black coat, he wondered if any males would try anything while he was around....I doubt it..... ~Getting Away With Murder~

Looking up as a male stood, looking at her, 10 metres away, Rala wolfed down the last of her beef, chewing down the another few mouthfuls, licking her jowls to clean them of gravy and beef juices. That had been one tasty meal, but the meat felt heavy in her stomach. It would slow her down for a while, but at least she had a quick metabolism, the feeling would be gone soon. Standing up, ears pricked, eyes alert, the female studied the male that now stood before her. He dropped a turkey on the ground and began to eat, asking her what he name was. Looking towards her own meal, the young toller lay down next to it again, chewing once again on the soft meat thoughtfully. "The name's Rala." Itachi, eh? Did he have a pack? She'd like a home, she was a street dog so far, nothing to her name. No mate, no pups - well, apart from the litter she had had due to a one-night-stand with Bones, the neighbors' dog, and they were domesticated and sold to 'good' homes. No doubt they would all have her rebellious streak - hah! She had to wonder what Bones was doing now, that handsome devil... And if her 'owners' were pinning up wanted posters, begging for whoever stole their dog. Stole? Hah! They had to have seen it coming, even the vet prescribed her as being severely bored. So what did they do? Lock her in the garden all day. It took half an hour to figure out the latch on the gate. When would they learn that Tollers are intelligent AND agile? Idiots.
"Been here for long?" Okay, so this conversation was turning into a mobster movie, but it was still passable as smalltalk. They had only just met, it was a good thing that they were just chatting amicably! True, Rala got a slightly dangerous vibe from this dog, this male, randomly approaching a female in the streets with no intention of getting her food. If he didn't have a pack. Rala didn't care. She was a only a tiny bit of a sl.ut, only a teensy - wait, who was she kidding? She was always a bit of a riot, a loud girl, what could she say for herself? Absolutely nothing.

The male stared at her with his crimson orbs that hid the haterd he held for most dogs, he began his life as a fighting dog and as you see he never lost a match. He was born a fighter but lived a somewhat peaceful life outside of the ring, as the fae spoke he looked at her and said " Nice name" was all that came out of his maw. He growled slightly as he saw a little butt cat walking alittle to close to his tail, the cat stopped as it heard the growl but as he turned his skull and stared at it the cat soon realized if it didn't leave it'd really be looking death in the face.He turned his skull back at the fae dubbed Rala spoke," Not too long just got here, well in this part of the city. What about you?" he said as he looked at her with his crimson orbs, he wondered what she was thinking but then again it was easy to figure. She wondered if he had a home, well he soon would he just had to go ask the alpha. Thick muscules tensed slightly under neath his thick black coat that showed no markings at all, his father was a black Timber wolf and his mother was a stray german sheperd who was looking for a home and maybe a good time. In the end pups were born but only two surivied the older one was Itachi the younger one was Sasuke, but he also had a half sibling by father. Her name was Ryu and she was the lone pup from her husky mother who died at birth for some odd reason, snorting slightly the male looked at the female before lifting his head up and looking around. He wasn't hungry but he was willing to catch something for this female if she really wanted to see that he was worthy to talk to, he shook his head lightly and thought to himself. His gaze returned to the female where it stayed with a bored look that made him seem as if he was uninterested in the female, but thats just how he acts when nothing of real interest happens... ~Getting Away With Murder~

Nodding again as the male delivered a half-compliment, she couldn't help but smirk a little, which she hid by biting down on the last remaining pieces of meat attached to the femur of the beef, now just a long, brown-stained ivory bone. Lovely. Pushing it away from her with her nose, she licked her lips as little more sophisticatedly than before, perhaps even a tad seductively, but then again, nearly everything Rala did was slightly flirtacious. She knew nothing about this male, and yet... Well, she had always been that way. Had her first litter so young, out of boredom. Ah, that had spiced up her life for 4 months. 4 months. Then it was back to boredom. The worst emotion ever. Ugh! So annoying! Looking back to the male, who was, out of coincidence, wearing a look of bored disinterest, she raised an eyebrow slightly at him. The curious star-shaped marking on her hindquarter wasn't facing him, he couldn't see it. The mark wasn't mystical or magickal or anything, it was just there. And it was pretty funky too - made her an instant hit with the humans. Which she hated - they were so monotonous!
"Not long. Just escaped from being a 'family pet'. Which I don't recommend at all." Keeping a steady eye contact with the male, she looked away for a while, then looked back at him. Looked at the floor, looked back at him. Held his eye contact for a moment longer than usual. Dragged her eyes away from him. Of course, she was skilled at this eye-controlled flirting, and it was surprisingly effective. The male had a working-dog look about him - definitely part German Shepherd, but the other half, she couldn't quite place. Not something she had seen around and about, really. Watching as a bird flew overhead, a large seagull, no doubt heading towards the bay, the golden caramel-brown and white female thought about the question not yet fully crossed her mind: What now? So, she had escaped. So, she had eaten. She was talking to a male. But what now? She knew it was the done thing to find a life-long mate and settle down and have kids with them, but did he have a home? Would he like a life-long partner? Well, Rala wasn't crazy on the idea based on logic, but the instinct to find one was lodged into her brain. Ah, Bones... But Bones was gone now. Poor guy. Maybe she would spring him out one day, but that had only ever been a one-night-stand. Using him? Hmmm... Nah!
"You got a home?"

The large male watched her with some interest in his features, crimson orbs looked over her. Watching her was the most he could do until she spoke, which took awhile. He gave a rough laugh as she spoke " Thanks for warning me, but I doubt any human would want a wolf hybrid as their pet." His voice was rough and a somewhat charming sound to it, he had perfected his charm on his travels. Many females fell for it but yet he never really cared for the outcome because he wasn't all that interested in the females he wooed, as she broke eye contact every once in awhile he watched her each time she broke it. A small smile was placed upon his stained muzzle, as she took awhile to speak again the male grew bored. But when she spoke his attention span focused on her, he smirked before saying " Yes I do,I'm currently looking after the Hotel while the alpha is away." His voice was a rough as before but held sarcasim instead of charm, he stood waiting to see if she'd be interested to come and join him....it'd be his pleasure to have her along.....
